Product designers hand-selected floorboards of an old railway station tucked away in the Highlands of Scotland to create Braemar Oak's design. The design was inspired by wood from a centuries-old holm oak in Spain – a type of tree not commonly used as a source of timber, but rather for acorn harvests to feed livestock.

A species of Acacia and in the same family of walnut, Hawaiian Koa is a protected wood and can no longer be harvested. Typically too costly and scarce in hardwood, Natural Koa’s warm burnt orange and toffee tones and flamelike grain suit any style of home interior.
